No COVID-related deaths were reported in the four-day period of April 22-25 for Mississippi. The state has recorded 12,436 deaths since the pandemic began in 2020.

The Mississippi State Department of Health recorded 321 new cases over that same four-day period; 156,560 new cases were reported across the nation. MSDH has reported 797,161 total cases in the state.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the transmission level for the coronavirus in Lincoln County was low, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. CDC levels are low, medium and high. For low community level, doctors recommend staying up to date with vaccinations and getting tested if symptoms develop.

Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the county March 27 to April 2, according to MSDH’s most recent available county-level numbers. Lincoln County has reported a total of 8,304 positive cases of the virus and 156 related deaths.
