A possibility of severe storms exists for a large part of Mississippi beginning this afternoon and stretching into Thursday morning.

Lincoln County is one of approximately half the counties in the state under the “marginal risk” from the National Weather Service in Jackson. The hazardous weather outlook covers portions of southeast Arkansas and northeast Louisiana, as well as central, north central and south central Mississippi.

Today through tonight, isolated severe thunderstorms are possible, with some capable of producing damaging wind gusts and hail. A tornado cannot be ruled out.
