Copiah-Lincoln Community College recently named Presidential Leadership Scholars, Taylor Presidential Scholars and Pitts Scholars.

Seven area high school seniors have been named Presidential Leadership Scholars. They are: Nicholas Wester, homeschool in Simpson County; Olivia Fleming of Franklin County High School; Heidi Smith of West Lincoln Attendance Center; Brooklyn Laird of West Lincoln Attendance Center; Brady Ratcliff of West Lincoln Attendance Center; Laney Beard of Wesson Attendance Center; and Shelby Lofton of Enterprise Attendance Center. Presidential Scholarships are awarded to outstanding high school seniors through an application and interview process through the college president’s office each spring.

High school seniors Rachel Temple of Franklin County High School, Kamryn Bridges of Wesson Attendance Center and Mattie Grace Williams of Bogue Chitto Attendance Center have been named Taylor Presidential Scholars. The Taylor Presidential Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship offered at Co-Lin. This scholarship was established by Fred and Jewett Taylor of Oxford, Mississippi, as a prestigious $8,000 annual scholarship to assist outstanding students within the Co-Lin district. The scholarship is funded through a $1 million endowment given by Mrs. Jewett Taylor in 2003. Applications are accepted through the college president’s office each spring.

High school seniors Kelly Eubanks of Mississippi School of the Arts and Logan Case of Brookhaven High School have been named Pitts Scholars. The Pitts Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship at Co-Lin awarded to outstanding high school seniors through an application and interview process through the college president’s office each spring.
