She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Helen Miner and, her loving husband of 54 years, Lester Nelson Strange.

Barbara graduated from Brookhaven High School then attended business college. Soon after, she married and moved to Louisiana where they would eventually settle in Zachary to raise their children.

One of her favorite activities was traveling with her husband in their motor home. Her quiet time was spent on the porch reading, watching birds and listening to country oldies. She enjoyed the simple things in life; like a good Hallmark movie, all you can eat crawfish and Fleur de Lis shrimp pizza. But, her most truly special times were spent visiting with her family.

She was kind, loving and one of the most beautiful people you could have the pleasure of knowing. She was a true blessing to all that knew and loved her.

Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary from 12 – 1:30 p.m. with interment at The Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary at 2 p.m. Share sympathies, condolences and memories at
