Barbara Miner Strange, 78, a resident of Greenwell Springs and born in Elgin, IL, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022.
Barbara is survived by her two children, son, Scott and wife Sheila Strange of St. Francisville, daughter, Kristy and husband Kevin Hearld of Zachary, grandchildren, Tristan Hearld, Stetson Hearld, Travis Freeze and Tara Warren (husband Chance), sister, Marilyn Brown of Daphne, AL, brother, Charles Miner Jr. and wife Pat of Jackson, MS, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Helen Miner and, her loving husband of 54 years, Lester Nelson Strange.
Barbara graduated from Brookhaven High School then attended business college. Soon after, she married and moved to Louisiana where they would eventually settle in Zachary to raise their children.
One of her favorite activities was traveling with her husband in their motor home. Her quiet time was spent on the porch reading, watching birds and listening to country oldies. She enjoyed the simple things in life; like a good Hallmark movie, all you can eat crawfish and Fleur de Lis shrimp pizza. But, her most truly special times were spent visiting with her family.
She was kind, loving and one of the most beautiful people you could have the pleasure of knowing. She was a true blessing to all that knew and loved her.
