TODAY

7:30 a.m. litter cleanup. Volunteers will meet at A.L. Lott Sportsplex to pick up litter in the community. Bags and grabbers will be provided.

“Down for the Count” will be presented by Bayou Independent Wrestling beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Lincoln Civic Center. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door for four matches. Tickets available at 601 Sports.

Saturday, June 18

The first Juneteenth Arts & Crafts Community Event will be 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Fannie L. Mullen School. Anyone interested in a free vendor’s booth should call Bernetta Character at 601-757-8094. A limited number of spaces are available.

The Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration will begin with a parade at 10 a.m. $10 entry fee. A youth baseball jamboree will be at 11 a.m., followed by coach and adult softball at 6 p.m. and a firewors show at 8:30 p.m. Bring your tents and grills. For more info, contact Rico Cain at 601-754-9637.

The Lincoln County Board of Supervisors will meet at 9 a.m. in the County Board Room of The Lincoln County/Brookhaven Governmental Complex.

The Lincoln County School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Central Office.

Tuesday, June 21

The Brookhaven Board of Aldermen will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the City Boardroom of The Lincoln County/Brookhaven Governmental Complex. Meetings are streamed live on the city’s Facebook page.

Tuesday, June 28

The Brookhaven School Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the Central Office.
