Funeral services for Allen “Ikey” Jerome will be on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Wesson, MS at 12:00 PM with burial to follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Tom McCormick officiating the service with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume Thursday at Zion Hill Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until time of the service.
Mr. Jerome, 84, of Wesson passed from this life June 21, 2022. He was born in Gluckstadt, MS, July 31, 1937, to Frances Jerome and Emma Jerome.
Ikey lived life to the fullest! Most that knew him said, there never was, and never would be another Ikey. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend. Ikey worked at Potter Company in Brookhaven and Wesson for over 40 years. He worked as a plumber and dozer operator for many years. Ikey was the driver of super modified car number “99.”
He enjoyed traveling with friends to bird hunt, and liked watching westerns, NASCAR, and sports.

Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Scott Jerome; brothers, Thomas Jerome and Frances Jerome; nephew, Sonny Jerome; brother-in-law, Don Keys.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Bobbie Keys Jerome; sister-in-law, Shirley Keys Chamberlain (Bruce); Niece’s and nephews, Pat Jerome (Kay), Glenn Jerome (Tina), David Jerome (Reita), Nora Cole (Jimmy), Carolyn McRae (Phill), Lillian Bergeron (Keith), Eleanor Jester (Arnie), Priscilla Wheat (Dale), Julie Landrum (O.D.), Frances Boone (Tommy), Tommie Kirkpatrick (David), Jeff King (Angie), Kellye Sicks (Doug), Mitchell Clark, Lanita Darling (Ricky), James Clark, Kevin Clark (Stephanie); daughter-in-law, Michelle King (Tommy); Special Buddy, Cody Meredith; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to KDMC, Trend Nursing and Rehab, and Compassus Hospice Care.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church Missions.
