Heat exhaustion is a likelihood today with prolonged outdoor activity.

Temperatures and humidity will be on the increase. Highs are expected to reach mid- to upper-90s for the most part, and afternoon heat indices will top out near 105 degrees. Hours of greatest risk are 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles. Drink plenty of fluids and take extra precautions if working or spending time outdoors.

7:30 a.m. litter cleanup. Volunteers will meet at A.L. Lott Sportsplex to pick up litter in the community. Bags and grabbers will be provided.

Pleasant Grove Church will celebrate Homecoming and revival services through Wednesday. Sunday singing begins at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11 a.m. and lunch at noon. Services will continue Monday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. nightly with speakers Larry Russell, Ivan Cray and Carl Smith.
