Brookhaven man killed in Friday crash

A Brookhaven man died as the result of a one-vehicle wreck Friday afternoon.
At approximately 3:25 p.m., Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies responded to East Monticello Street near Lincoln Rural Water Association where a 2008 Chevy van/SUV had left the road.
The vehicle struck a tree and overturned, according to Sheriff Steve Rushing. The driver, James Farris, was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Clay McMorris. There were no other occupants.
The wreck remains under investigation by LCSO.
