No human life was seriously injured Thursday afternoon when a truck carrying live chickens overturned in Lincoln County.

An 18-wheeler hauling live chickens overturned before 4 p.m. when it attempted to turn off Hwy. 550 onto Dunn-Ratcliff Road.

Highway Patrol, Sheriff’s Office, fire fighters and emergency management personnel responded. The driver was checked at the scene by EMTs.

Motorists traveling through the area should be prepared for delays as cleanup begins.
