BROOKHAVEN — Teachers in the Brookhaven School District are looking forward to the upcoming school year especially physics and chemistry teacher Susan Thames. She is a teacher at Brookhaven High School. 

She said parents should know they are excited to be back in the classroom and working with the kids this year. Her hope is for parents to get involved and to stay involved this school year.

At Mamie Martin, principal Nancy Fisher looks forward to a return to school after the district has battled the challenges of COVID the last few years. 

The event will allow students to meet their teachers and those who have not registered to register for classes. Fisher said parents who have not registered their child yet can call the school and they will work with them through the process.
