A Brookhaven woman has lost her vehicle in a fiery Monday incident. An East Chippewa Street resident was surprised to see smoke in her car Monday morning. Newly purchased, the car had sat in its parking spot all weekend. When the owner opened the door just before 10:30 a.m. and saw the smoke, she called the fire department. Fire fighters arrived quickly and were able to extinguish that was then a full fire. Though no one was injured and the flames did not spread to nearby vehicles, the car itself was destroyed. No determination has yet been made on what may have started the blaze.
