Mississippi Dispensary Investments 2 LLC has obtained a state license to open a medical cannabis dispensary in the Home Seekers Paradise. MDI is one of three companies licensed by the state for the city, to-date.

Arkansas attorney William R. Mullen is the principal organizer for the LLC, which has not yet obtained a City of Brookhaven license.

In order to obtain a license to operate a dispensary within the city limits of Brookhaven, the business must first obtain all necessary state-issued permits and licenses. They must submit these, a deed or lease agreement for the property where they intend to operate, and a survey proving they are a minimum of 1,000 feet away from any church, school or daycare. If they are less than 1,000 feet, they must provide a waiver from the church, school or daycare they are located near. The fee for the city license is $6,250.
