Free at-home rapid self-tests for COVID-19 are now available at local health departments.

The Mississippi State Department of Health provides eight tests (four boxes) per family, per month. The tests are BinaxNOW antigen rapid self-tests, made in the U.S.A.

In Lincoln County, the health department is located at 1212 Northpark Lane NE.

Anyone who is symptom free and has not currently tested positive for COVID can enter the building and request the tests. A face mask must be worn. All that is required is name and zip code.

Patrons can also call ahead at 601-833-3314 for questions about COVID testing or other health-related issues.
