BROOKHAVEN — Runners gathered in downtown Brookhaven Saturday morning to remember the first responders who died on 9/11 and the victims of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. A memorial was held before the race started with a fire engine sounding its siren at 8:46 the time the first tower was hit.
