Garden Clubs of Mississippi Inc. Backyard Habitat Chairman Phyllis Harris was the guest speaker for the Wesson Garden Club’s October meeting held on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2022 at the American Legion Post 79.

Those in attendance who gained important gardening tips on protecting and bringing more birds, bees and butterflies to our yards were Rebecca Norma Carroll, Sherri Carty, Sonya Cowen, Sherry Davis, Cherry Head, Debbie Hoaglin, Denise Jackson, Camille Johnston, Pam McLemore, Ashley Munn, June Owens, Pam Owens, Jennifer Peets, Marilyn Phillips, Jean Ricks, Debbie Smith, Lisa Smith, Dixie Thornton, Brittney Warren, and Joy Wesbrooks. Ms. Harris also shared which plants should be incorporated into landscapes to help attract the different species and the importance they play in the overall ecosystem.

Shared with the Club members were the Awards received at the recent Natchez Trace District Fall meeting including District Club of the Year. Providing refreshments to the group were Sherry Davis, Ashley Munn, Jean Ricks, and Brittney Warren.
