BROOKHAVEN — The annual shopping event called Christmas Open House presented by the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce was held Saturday. Thirty-three participating stores opened their doors from 9a.m. to 5 p.m. offering discounts and refreshments to kickoff the Christmas season.

It might feel like a Hallmark movie but the crowds made their way from store to store spending cash and spreading joy. There is even a winter chill in the air.
