Some severe storms are expected to impact the area Tuesday and Wednesday.

Following a sunny day with calm winds Monday, Monday night will see increasing cloudiness, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday.

Some storms could become severe, possibly after 2 p.m. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent, with rainfall amounts of ¼ to ½-inch.

The chance of severe storms continues with a 100 percent chance of precipitation until after midnight. New rainfall amounts between ¾ and 1-inch are possible.

A 20 percent chance of rain will continue Wednesday morning before 10 a.m.

Though skies will bring variable cloudiness the remainder of the workweek, no more rain is expected until Saturday, when the National Weather Service forecasts a 20 percent chance of showers.
