The driver of a pickup truck was treated by paramedics after the vehicle struck a building on Union Street.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, an older-model Ford F150 pickup was traveling east on Union Street when it left the road and hit the wall of the old Montgomery Electric building. The building and truck both suffered damage.

Brookhaven Police officers and King’s Daughters Ambulance Service responded to the scene.

It was unclear at the time what caused the wreck. The incident remains under investigation.
