Tractor Supply Company has been selling products for farmers, landowners and homeowners since 1938. Now, with more than 2,000 stores in the United States and Canada, Tractor Supply has broken ground to build in Brookhaven.

Work has begun at the site at the intersection of Brookway Boulevard Extension and Saints Trail. Though the pouring of the foundation has been delayed a little due to lots of wet weather, City Inspector David Fearn said it will done as soon as weather permits, and the steel structure will begin to go up as soon as possible.

The addition of another well-known business will definitely be a boost to the city, executive director of the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Economic Development Alliance Garrick Combs said.

“Any time we can add a nationally or regionally known brand to our retail mix, it benefits our entire retail corridors,” Combs said. “The more those brands advertise their Brookhaven location, the more people will come to our town and shop.”
