Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers and Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a multi-car wreck at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday on Hwy. 51 S at Bogue Chitto Road.

A 2018 Nissan Altima was traveling east on Bogue Chitto Road when it collided with a 2003 GMC Envoy traveling north on U.S. Hwy. 51 at the intersection of the roadways. Troop M Cpl. Craig James said the impact caused the Envoy to collide with a westbound 2021 Dodge Durango which had stopped on Monticello Street at Hwy. 51.

Bogue Chitto Road becomes Monticello Street after it crosses Hwy. 51 going east into the town by Bogue Chitto Attendance Center.

No drivers or passengers reported injuries at the site of the wreck. The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
