BROOKHAVEN — If you follow the yellow brick road it will take you to see the wizard in the land of Oz at the Brookhaven Little Theatre this April. There are currently eight weeks left until opening night but the BLT warns tickets are selling quickly. 

Wizard of Oz opens on April 20 at 7:30 p.m. and will have at least one show each day, with the exception of April 26, through April 30. Below is a list of show times. 

• Thursday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m.
• Friday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m.
• Saturday, April 22 at 2p.m.  & 7:30 p.m.
• Sunday, April 23 at 2p.m.
• Monday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. 
• Thursday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m.
• Friday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m.
• Saturday, April 29 at 2p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
• Sunday, April 30 at 2p.m.

BLT’s production of the Wizard of Oz is based on the original L. Frank Baum’s story and it features the iconic music from the MGM film. The protagonist Dorotohy travels across the land of Oz to find a way home to Kansas along with the Tin-Man, a cowardly lion and a scare-crow. 

The show lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes with one intermission. Concessions are available and it is best to get your tickets as soon as possible. Tickets are $15 to $30 based on seat location.
