Two Bogue Chitto residents recently cashed in on the Mississippi Lottery, winning nearly $4,000 between them.

The women played two different drawing games in March.

The first woman won $1,250 on Cash Pop ticket purchased for the March 5 evening drawing.

The ticket was purchased at the Bogue Chitto Truck Stop in Bogue Chitto.

The second woman won $2,700 on a Cash 4 ticket for the Saturday, March 11, midday and evening drawings. The ticket was purchased at B-Kwik #2 in Brookhaven.

According to the Mississippi Lottery website, the Cash Pop game includes two drawings each day and winners can wager $1, $2, $5 or $10, with cash prizes increasing with the higher wages. The odds of winning $1,250  on the $5 play are 1 in 15,000.

The Cash 4 game features two drawings daily and the odds of winning $2,700 are 1 in 10,000.
