Loyd Star Attendance Center’s assistant principal Seth Lofton has been named the school’s new principal beginning with the 2023-2024 year.

“As a school district, we are always seeking to find the right person who will bring their expertise, skills and professionalism to the role, while embracing the values of our district,” said Lincoln County School District Superintendent David Martin. “I have full confidence that Mr. Lofton is the right candidate who has a vested interest in ensuring the success of the faculty, staff and students of Loyd Star. The role he has played over the last three years as the assistant principal lends him the knowledge to continue to move the school in the right direction.”

Current principal Dena Ford and her husband, Coach Brian Ford, are moving to be closer to family.
