As recovery continues down its long road following recent storms in Mississippi, more groups are getting involved to assist.

Team Title in Brookhaven will meet in the parking lot of Walmart Brookhaven at 7 a.m. Friday, March 31, and caravan to Rolling Ford for a tornado relief work day.

Betsy Belk will have coolers of bottled water, drinks and lunch. Anyone who would like to join the effort is invited to bring donations or tools and participate.

Individuals or groups who would like to help but cannot attend the work day are asked to make donations of the following items at the Team Title office on West Cherokee Street — bottled water, canned goods, paper products, pet food, diapers and wipes, manual can openers, baby formula, personal hygiene items, pet carriers, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies.

Walmart and the Walmart Foundation have also announced a $400,000 commitment to support local organizations providing relief, as well as distributing food and water at three locations this week:

• Amory Walmart parking lot, 1515 Hwy. 278 E — mobile shower facilities, open daily until 7 p.m.; Operation BBQ Mobile Feeding Unit serving meals.
• Rolling Fork South Delta Elementary School, 138 Weathers Ave. — Cook trailer will be on-site serving meals.
• Yazoo City Walmart parking lot, 2129 Grand Ave. — Operation BBQ Mobile Feeding Unit serving meals.
