A female suspect wanted in connection with a Tuesday stabbing in New Hebron has been arrested.

Shania Harris was wanted for questioning in the attack that occurred earlier Tuesday, April 24. The New Hebron Police Department and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office asked the public for assistance in locating Harris via social media around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Within two minutes of posting information on the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Harris was taken into custody, according to Sheriff Ryan Everett.

“Great response and job well done by all,” Everett said.
