Wednesday might be a washout

BROOKHAVEN — Grab some waterproof boots and a good rain jacket tomorrow morning. Wednesday is forecast to be a wet one as showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day.
National Weather Service in Jackson forecasts a chance of showers before 8 a.m., chance of showers and thunderstorms until 1 p.m. and then more chances of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Showers are often brief periods of rainfall.
Overall, Wednesday has an 80 percent chance of rain, meaning 80 percent of the Lincoln County area is likely to see rain. Rainfall is expected to be between a tenth of an inch to a quarter of an inch but people can expect more rain in thunderstorms.
The high will be 81 with a low of 64 Wednesday night. A nice west by northwest breeze blowing at 5 mph will offer a cooling effect.
Thursday is forecast to have a 20 percent chance of rain. Friday is mostly sunny and Saturday will have a 50 percent chance of rain again.
