Madden named new West Lincoln assistant principal

On Tuesday, Lincoln County School District announced Tamra Madden as the new assistant principal of West Lincoln Attendance Center.

Currently lead teacher at Loyd Star Attendance Center, Madden will begin at West Lincoln in the 2023-2024 school year.

Madden earned her bachelor of science degree in Family and Consumer Science Education, and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi. Continuing her commitment of being a lifelong learner, she obtained her Educational Specialist in Elementary Education from Delta State University.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, faculty, staff, and community of West Lincoln,” Madden said. “I value their loving community of devoted members, their tradition of academic excellence, and I will work hard to ensure the continued growth, achievement, and success of all students.”

Incoming West Lincoln principal Andrew Redd said he is excited to have Madden join the team.

“I have heard lots of great things about her and the work she has done at Loyd Star as Lead Teacher,” Redd said. “Her experience in testing and curriculum will be invaluable in continuing the academic excellence that is expected at West Lincoln Attendance Center.”

Madden’s experience in education includes teaching career and technical education courses, history, math and reading interventionist, coaching basketball and serving as lead teacher.

Madden and her husband Wes have three children, Brantley (10), Blake (7), and Briggs (6), who are currently students at Loyd Star Attendance Center. They are members of First Baptist Church Crystal Springs where Madden serves as the Director of Children and Families Ministry.
