Brookhaven High senior Brodie Ezell has won piles of medals and awards during his time throwing the discus for the Panthers. On Monday at the BHS track and field awards ceremony, Ezell made his next step official by signing a letter-of-intent with Mississippi College.

Ezell wrapped up his prep career recently with a third straight MHSAA 5A state title in the discus. He also won first place in 2023 in the shot put, the first state title for Ezell in that event.

As a junior, his individual points were a big part of Brookhaven High winning the 2022 5A team title.

Matthew Reneker serves as head track coach at Mississippi College and the Choctaws compete in the Division II level of NCAA athletics.

The Choctaws had some of the best results in program history over the past year in throwing events.
