Mr. and Mrs. Wade “Dwayne” Townsend, of Brookhaven, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Allie Claire Townsend, to Jacob Michael Piazza, of Rodney.

Miss Townsend is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nolon Bowman (Dorothy), the late Mr. Wadie D. Townsend, and Mrs. Magaline Townsend.

Mr. Piazza is the son of Mr. Michael Anthony Piazza and Ms. Eva “Faye” Piazza, and the grandson of Mr. Edward “Bobby” Glodjo, and the late Mrs. Francis Glodjo, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Piazza (Etta).

The bride-to-be is a 2018 graduate of Brookhaven High School, a 2020 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College and a 2022 graduate of Mississippi College. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (summa cum laude) and Master of Science degree in Education and Leadership. She is employed as a third-grade writing teacher at Brookhaven Elementary School.

The prospective groom is a 2019 graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center, a 2021 graduate of Hinds Community College, and a 2023 graduate of Alcorn State University. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Science (magna cum laude). He is employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Engineer Research & Development Center.

The couple will exchange vows Saturday, July 15, at Macedonia Baptist Church, at 6 p.m. A reception will follow at Brookhaven Country Club.
