A Roxie man died Sunday as the result of injuries sustained in a late-night wreck.

On Aug. 13, at approximately 9:48 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Hwy. 33 in Franklin County, according to Troop M Cpl. Craig James.

A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 66-year-old Albert Nickson of Roxie, was traveling north on Hwy. 33 when it left the roadway and collided with a tree.

Nickson suffered fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
