At approximately 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, the Brookhaven Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on Brignall Road.

When firefighters arrived at 1331 Brignall, they found the wood framed home ablaze, and immediately began to extinguish the fire. After just more than an hour, the fire and hot spots were completely out.

No one was in the house at the time of the fire, and no injuries were sustained in the fire or in putting it out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Mississippi State Fire Marshal’s Office.
