School immunization walk-in days at Health Departments

Published 10:10 am Monday, July 1, 2024

Several county Health Departments will have special walk-in days this summer for back-to-school immunizations. During the clinics, additional nursing staff will be available to provide required immunizations so that parents can complete the process quickly and efficiently. If parents have copies of their children’s immunization record, they should bring it with them to the clinic.

Mississippi requires immunizations for first-time school entry and seventh-grade entry. Parents must provide schools with a Certificate of Immunization Compliance (Form 121). The form can be obtained from the clinic where your child received his or her immunizations, or from MSDH’s MyIR service online at https://msdh.ms.gov/MyIR.
