Brookhaven High School has a new assistant principal, and a new start time

Brookhaven High School has welcomed a new assistant principal, and has adjusted its student instruction start time.
Kelsey Gibson is the new assistant principal at BHS. She begins her fourth year with the district in the 2024-2025 academic year, having been an English teacher at BHS and an academic coach at Alexander Jr. High.
Prior to coming to Brookhaven, Gibson was an educator in the Scott County, Marshall County, and New Albany School Districts. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Communications from Oklahoma State University, a Master of Arts and Teaching Secondary from Mississippi State University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
Gibson and her husband Will have two children and are active members of First Baptist Church Brookhaven.
New start time
Beginning Aug. 6, the instructional day at Brookhaven High will begin at 7:55 a.m., and conclude at 3:20 p.m.
