Paxton King, of Brookhaven, has been elected chairman of the Mississippi Automobile Dealers Association.
“It is an honor and privilege to be elected as the MADA Board Chairman,” said King, general manager of Stan King GM Supercenter. “For over 80 years, MADA automobile dealers have worked to meet the needs of our citizens and the communities we serve. The opportunity to lead this great organization is both challenging and humbling.”
After graduating The University of Southern Mississippi, where he played baseball for the Golden Eagles, King returned to Brookhaven to work in the family business. He became general manager in 2020 and has since demonstrated strong leadership and dedication.
“Paxton could very well be the youngest chairman in the history of MADA, but I am amazed at his maturity and natural leadership skills,” said MADA President Marty Milstead. “I am thankful that the Board of Directors elected such a dynamic leader, especially with the interest from a lot of the next generation integrated within the dealer body.”
MADA represents 215 franchised new-car and truck dealers across the state. These dealerships provide nearly 19,000 jobs, generate $8.4 billion in sales, and contribute a $591 million payroll, playing a significant role in the state’s economic development.
