A suspect has been killed, and two police officers were injured during a shooting in Summit.

According to sources, one of the officers was from Summit, and the other was from McComb.

The suspect involved in the incident has been killed. Authorities said the shooting occurred near a grocery store on Hwy. 51 near Robb Street.

At least one officer was being treated at the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.

There has been no official word on their conditions.

The shooting is under investigation by agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI).
