BROOKHAVEN — Three fire engines responded to report of smoke showing at 556 West Monticello St. Thursday afternoon. Brookhaven Fire Department was dispatched to the home around 2:20 p.m.

On scene, firefighters found smoke coming out of the home’s vents. Firefighters deployed a positive pressure fan to clear smoke out of the residence.

Units cleared the scene by 3 p.m. after determining the home was cleared.
