The women of Faith in Action at Central Baptist Church recently honored Brookhaven Police, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, and Mississippi Highway Patrol officers in the group’s Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Representatives from each agency were presented with trays of cookies and copies of “Behind the Badge,” a one-year devotional book, and thanked for their selfless service to the community. Pastor Ryan Thurman and the women welcomed BPD Capt. Penny Banks, BPD officers Carter and Reed, MHP Sgt. Craig James, and LCSO Sgt. Chuck Francis.
