A man is dead and another is sought by police after a Wednesday shooting in Cloverdale.

Shots were fired in the Cloverdale Apartments area around 6 p.m.

A male victim was transported via ambulance to Kings Daughters Medical Center, where he later was pronounced dead, according to Police Chief Kenneth Collins.
