Local Players selected on All-Region 7-2A team

0315 16mugs WL-LS-ENTLIBERTY – Loyd Star, West Lincoln and Enterprise girls and boys basketball teams received great honors as several players were chosen for the All-Region 7-2A basketball team for the 2014-2015 season.

Loyd Star head basketball coach Gene “Moochie” Britt earned the Coach of the Year honors.

In girls’ basketball, Marcey Givens, Jordan Shelby and Hannah Dickerson of Loyd Star were selected.

Hanna Moak and Alli Mullins were chosen for the West Lincoln Lady Bears.

Alissa Barlow and Megan Rippy were selected for the Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets.

On the boys basketball team,  the coaches selected senior forward Edrick Alsworth of Loyd Star as the Region 7-2A’s Most Valuable Player.

Other members of the Hornets: Caleb Yarborough, Javion Beard, Levi Redd and Brad Jasper were also selected on team.

From the West Lincoln Bears, Ronnie Edwards and Keshaun London received honors.

Dwayne Pendleton and Jontavious Smith were selected from the Enterprise Jackets.
