DAILY LEADER / Photo submitted / The Lincoln Co. Dixie Belles won the Mississippi Dixie Softball State Championship in Ellisville. The Dixie Belles went undefeated in the tournament defeating seven teams by a run total of 49 runs to five runs. The girls also received the team’s Sportsmanship award in the tournament. The Belles will represent Mississippi in the Regional tournament next week on July 31 at Monroe, La. Members of the team are Adi Paden, Marley Poole, Makennah Redd, Kalyn Chemin, Kaycie Beth Wallace, Megan Gerald, Aly Floyd, Anna Brooke Davis, Meagan Poole, Carly Beth Wallace and Brooke Foster.
