Ole Brook finishes Third in Pearl’s Invitational

PEARL – The Ole Brook Powerlifting team finished in third place in Pearl’s Invitational meet last weekend behind Pearl and NW Rankin.

Brookhaven’s Stephen Springfield won the overall best lifter as he post a squat of 540 pounds, bench of 290 pounds and a personal best dead lift of 585 pounds, which totaled out at 1,415.

In individual events, Jay Trunner placed first in the 220 weight class with 1,245 total.

Tristan Peavey placed second in the 308 weight class with a personal best of 1,180. Kenneth Dixon tied for second in the 181 weight class with a personal best of 995.

Jon Mark Mathis took home third place in the 165 weight class with a personal best of 860.

“I am proud of all the guys and this meet has let us know where we need to be at when we have our regional meet on Feb 12th at Pearl,” said Ole Brook Powerlifting coach Russ Britt.
