1055 Music LLC wins City Little League championship; Dr. A.L. Lott announces first ever All-Star team

The Dr. A.L. Lott regular season champion 1055 Music LLC bounced back after suffering a tough loss to begin the City Little League Tournament to win the 11- and 12-year-olds championship Friday night at Dr. Lott’s Field.

The 1055 Music LLC knocked off the Elks Lodge 923 twice in the championship round with a final score of 16-1 in Game 1 and 18-0 in Game 2.

After the championship celebration, 1055 Music LLC was presented with the tournament championship trophy. Elks Lodge received the tournament runners-up trophy. The 1055 Music LLC ball club was recognized as the regular season champs.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dr. A.L. Lott program director Roy Smith and League Commissioner Kenneth Smith announced the 11- and 12-year-old All-Star team.

The All-Star team will advance to play in the Little League International State World Series Tournament in Jackson. The action will start Wednesday and conclude on Monday.

The members who were selected for the first ever Dr. A.L. Lott All-Star team were: Ke’Jharin Beasley of 1055 Music LLC, Jervonte Scarbrough of Magnolia Graphics, Octavian Culver of Elks Lodge, Derico Cain of Tyler, Latroy Campbell of Magnolia Graphics, Amareon Dunnigan and Magnolia Graphics, Ladarrus Gilmore of Tip-Toe Express, Austin Henderson of Magnolia Graphics, Jakobe Kelly of Elks Lodge, Javian Kelly of Elks Lodge, Kemon Funchess of Tyler, Quartez Osborne of Elks Lodge, Gerrick Harris of Tyler and Jakar Lyons of Elks Lodge

1055 Music LLC 16, Elks Lodge 1 

Jerimiah Hargon was the winning pitcher in Game 1 for 1055 Music with 10 strikeouts and one walk.

Deon Dixon suffered the setback on the mound for the Elks Lodge ball club with two strikeouts and five walks.

KeJharin Beasley provided the offensive spark at the plate for the 1055 Music ball club with a home run and a double. Kenneth Dixon and Dominique Smith fueled the flames with a double and a single each. Elijah Calcote and Kermit Sartin Jr. contributed three singles apiece. Angel Wilkerson and Hargon ripped a pair of singles each. Hitting safely were Malachi Clark and Ronnetrell Williams.

Quartez Osborne and Octavian Culver were the top hitters at the plate for Elks Lodge with a single each.

1055 Music LLC 18, Elks Lodge 0 

In Game 2, the 1055 Music ball club continued their hot hitting streak at the plate as they blanked the Elks Lodge in the second game to complete the sweep.

Malachi Clark was the winning pitcher for 1055 Music LLC with seven strikeouts and one walk.

Jaylen Brice absorbed the setback for Elks Lodge with one strikeout and 11 walks.

Beasley directed the 1055 Music team with a triple and a single. Dixon, Calcote Sartin and Williams continued the offensive onslaught with a double and a single apiece. Wilkerson and Hargon hit two singles each. Clark had a double.

Culver and Osborne carried the Elks Lodge’s offense with a single each.
