WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln sophomore running back Lakedric Lee has been named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Offensive Player of the Week.
Lee rushed 26 times for 113 yards and caught 12 passes for 113 yards in a 31-24 win over East Mississippi. With 23 seconds remaining in regulation he scored on a 5-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 24-24. In overtime Lee scored the game winner on a 5-yard touchdown pass.
The win by the Wolfpack ended East Mississippi’s 25 game winning streak. Lee, a graduate of North Pike High School, will now be nominated for national player of the week honors. He’s the second member of the Wolfpack to be honored in as many weeks, joining Co-Lin kicker Greg Nickles, who was named Special Teams Player of the Week following week one.
