West Lincoln boys second, girls fourth

The West Lincoln boys finished second in the Ole Brook’s Hansel King cross-country 5K meet Tuesday.

West Lincoln’s Matthew Allred finished third place to lead the Class 1A Bears with a time of 20:26. Jason Watts was fourth with the time of 20:39, Kodie Carroll was 13th in 25:35, followed by Matt Gill, 14th at 25:37, and Hunter Maxwell 15th at 26:01.

The Lady Bears secured fourth place in their event. Lillianne Rushing came in 11th place to lead West Lincoln’s runners.

Lexie Leggett finished 12th with the time of 22:04, Carly Holden placed 14th in 22:47, followed by Carlie Smith, 15th at 22:50 and Grace Williams, 21st at 26:40.

In junior high action,  the West Lincoln boys and girls secured first place in their 2K run.

Jana Case claimed first place to lead the Lady Bears with a time of 18:53. Leann Chisholm was fourth with the time of 19:12. Skylar Hall was fifth in 20:38, followed by Megan Gerald, eighth at 21:04 and Morgan Newman, 10th at 23:12.

The Bears were led by Matthew Geis, who came in first place with a time of 12:38. Jordan Montgomery finished second with a time of 12:40. Adam Martinez placed third at 13:50. Garrison Coffey, fourth at 14:34 and Baylie Hughes was fifth at 14:47.

West Lincoln’s next meet is Saturday at Madison Central beginning at 9:30 a.m.
