Two men died in Lincoln County house fire

At 2 a.m. this morning two men were victims of a house fire in Lincoln County near the intersection of Auburn and Jackson Liberty.
Lincoln County Coroner Clay McMorris identified the men as Clayton Wesley Clay Lewis, 48, and Charles Keith Smith, 55, of 1587 Jackson Liberty SW.

The two men were in the house when Zetus Volunteer Firefighters arrived on the scene.

A 911 call coming from the residence was sent to the Zetus Volunteer Fire Department, who then requested assistance from the Loyd Star  and Bogue Chitto Volunteer Fire Departments.

Officials said the home was full of smoke and one man was found in the front of the home and one was found in the back.

McMorris said the two men were pronounced dead at 3:10 a.m. Thursday morning.
