The Mississippi state treasurer is holding approximately $10,000 in unclaimed property for Lincoln/Lawrence County residents. This money belongs to our citizens and can be promptly returned with just a few steps.

These funds can be anything from utility deposits, insurance proceeds or refunds from merchants.

I encourage everyone to take a few moments to visit the treasurer’s website at www.treasurerlynnfitch.com to quickly search for their name. Any questions should be directed to the Unclaimed Property Division at 601-359-3534.
