Funeral Services for John P. Lambert are 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Davis Funeral Chapel with burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery at 9 a.m. with full Military honors. Pallbearers are Joshua and Timothy Lambert, Jason Woodward, along with family friends, Michael Swanson, Dr. Roy Bruam and Mark Stevens and Jerry Elder. Davis Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Leavenworth, Kansas.

Mr. Lambert, 58, died Aug. 13, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Lambert retired as a captain from the U.S. Military with 22 years of service. He recently retired as a postal carrier after serving faithfully for 16 years with the U.S. Postal Service.

Preceding him in death were his father, JP Lambert; and his brother, Jimmy Lambert.

Survivors are his mother, Liz Lambert; two sisters, Diane (Roger) Roberts and Rebecca (James) Rushing; multiple nieces and nephews from Brookhaven; his three children, Joshua (Stephanie) Lambert, Timothy (Angie) Lambert and Jessica “Jason” Woodward; and three loving grandchildren.
