NATCHEZ – The West Lincoln Bears and Lady Bears finished strong in their cross-country meet at Natchez High last Tuesday.

In the varsity boys 5K run, the Bears placed second overall as Jason Watts finished in first place with a time of 19:30. Jordan Montgomery finished with a time of 22:56. Adam Martinez at 24:30, Baylie Hughes at 25:54 and Keith Burns at 27:00.

In the varsity girls 2.3K run, the Lady Bears placed third overall. Lillianne Rushing was the top runner for West Lincoln with a time of 15:35. Lexis Leggett finished with a time of 19:16, Carlie Smith at 19:48, Cameron Temple at 22:46 and Emily Goss at 23:10.

In junior varsity action, the Lady Bears took home first place in a 2.3K run. Georganna Allen led the pace for West Lincoln finishing with a time of 17:46. Jana Case came in second for the Lady Bears with a time of 18:32. Megan Gerald finished third with the time of 19:32, Skylar Hall at 22:04 and Grace Williams at 23:40.

In the boys 2.3K run, the Bears placed fourth overall. Todd Calcote finished first for West Lincoln with a time of 16:08. Jonathan Mathis came in fifth at 16:15. Other runners for West Lincoln were Jared Mathis at 17:59, Caleb Weeks at 20:20, Jacob Lofton at 23:53.

In last Saturday contest at Madison Trail run, West Lincoln finished 11th overall in the boys 5K run. Jason Watts came in first for West Lincoln with a time of 11:25. Jordan Montgomery at 22:25, Adam Martinez at 23:47, Baylie Hughes at 25:28 and Keith Burns at 26:29.

In the girls 5K run, Lillianne Rushing finished first for the Lady Bears with a time of 26:09. Lexis Leggett at 28:40, Carlie Smith at 30:53, Cameron Temple at 35:43 and Emily Goss at 36.55

In junior varsity boys 4K meet, Jonathan Mathis placed first for West Lincoln at 18:29. Todd Calcote at 21:32, Jared Mathis at 22:11, Parker Travis at 24:14 and Jacob Lofton at 24:25.

In JV girls 4K action, Georganna Allen finished first for West Lincoln at 21:45. Jana Case at 22:39, Megan Gerald at 24:18, Morgan Newman at 25:17 and Skylar Hall at 25:42.
