Funeral Services for Gay Newell Davison of Fairhope, Alabama, formerly of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, with burial in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, and will continue Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Davison, 62, died Sept. 25, 2014, in Dothan, Alabama. She was born on Feb. 10, 1952, in Brookhaven to William Burton Newell and Iva Walker Newell.

Mrs. Davison was a retired school teacher and was of Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Jean Morgan; her brother, Ralph Newell; her loving brother-in-law, Curtis Rushing; and her father-in-law, Sid Davison.

Survivors are her husband, Luke Davison of Fairhope, Alabama; her three sons, Brett Davison of Tampa, Florida, Hunter Davison and wife, Lauren, of Waynesville, North Carolina, and Lucas Davison of Gulf Breeze, Florida; five grandchildren; her four sisters, Adeline Rushing, Bertille Williams and husband, Tommy, Iva Pearl Lofton and husband, Douglas, and Wynell Smith and husband, Carroll Bruce; her mother-in-law, Ruby Davison; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
