Funeral Services for Joe Paul Stormo of Monticello are 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello with burial in the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Stormo, 64, died Oct. 21, 2014, at his residence.

He was a building supply sales representative, owned Stormo’s Sporting Goods and retired as an OCC operator from Georgia Pacific. He worked for the past 38 years as a hunting guide in Colorado. Mr. Stormo was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church and was an ordained deacon.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Donald and JoAnn Stormo; and stepmother, Lib.

Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Brenda; daughter, Christy Hawn and children, Laken, Lucus and Jesse of Pass Christian; son, Scott Stormo and boys Lawon and Brody of Monticello; brothers, Donald Stromo and Margaret of Atlanta, Georgia, Jim Stormo and Angel of Metarie, Louisiana; sister, Miriam Williamson and Emmitt of Oakvale; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to cancer society fund at Bethel Baptist Church.
